Janet Goeske Foundation works with regional food banks, public agencies, leading corporations and granting organizations to deliver nutrition programs to seniors in need throughout our region.
A comprehensive morning nutrition program is presented every Friday morning at the Janet Goeske Senior Center. A free nutritious breakfast is served while participants are educated on balanced nutrition and disease prevention. Each month a licensed dietician speaks on a relevant health topic and provides cooking demonstrations once per quarter. The licensed dietitian is also available for FREE, personalized consultations on-site at The Center every Friday morning.
This healthy eating program features educational cooking demonstrations, samples to TASTE, and ingredients for participants to TRY at home with friends and family. The goal is to have a greater impact on the community as a whole by encouraging families and friends to cook and enjoy healthy recipes together.
Emergency food supplies are available at the Janet Goeske Senior Center anytime during normal business hours. The pantry is stocked with non-perishable food items and toiletries for seniors. The quantity and variety of items available is based on donations from community supporters.
A Nutritional Lunch program is provided at the Janet Goeske Senior Center every Monday – Friday for seniors, in collaboration with the Riverside County Office on Aging.
Once a month the JGF hosts a food box distribution for seniors, in collaboration with the Community Action Partnership of Orange County.
