Crime Fighting Block Party Scheduled for August 4th
Janet Goeske Foundation will join nearly 38 million people and 16,000 communities nationwide to celebrate the 32nd annual National Night Out on Tuesday, August 4th from 4pm – 6pm.
The event which started in 1984 was originally known as “America’s Night Out Against Crime” and is described on the official event website as “an annual event designed to strengthen our communities by encouraging neighborhoods to engage in stronger relationships with each other and with their local law enforcement partners.”
In an effort to promote police-community partnerships, crime prevention, and neighborhood camaraderie, Janet Goeske Foundation is inviting nearby residents and patrons to STAND UP AGAINST CRIME in our community. Janet Goeske Center is opening their doors to neighboring community members for their 4th annual “Crime Fighting Block Party”. Last year nearby residents and patrons had the opportunity to meet City of Riverside Police Service Representative, Nancy Castillo, several local Police Officers and Fire Fighters who shared valuable information on neighborhood safety & crime prevention, including safety tipsfor children and seniors.
Feel free to bring your children, friends and neighbors to enjoy a neighborhood BBQ! Riverside PoliceDepartment and Fire Department have also been invited to the Janet Goeske Center to share their knowledge and support the community in fighting back against crime.
Take back your neighborhood at National Night Out, join us at the Janet Goeske Center (5257 Sierra Street, 92504) on Tuesday, August 4th at 4pm. Please call 951-351-8800 x 202 for more information.
